FAQ
Are my edits saved in the downloaded PDF?
Yes. Clicking "Save Edited PDF" embeds all your text, drawings, highlights, and signatures permanently into the PDF using pdf-lib.
Can I edit text that already exists in the PDF?
This tool adds new text on top of the existing content. Editing existing PDF text (replacing it) requires a different type of tool that parses font encoding.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. All editing happens in your browser. Your PDF never leaves your device.
Can I add my digital signature?
You can draw a handwritten-style signature using the Signature tool. For cryptographic digital signatures (with certificate), a different tool is needed.
What happens to existing PDF content when I save?
The original PDF content is preserved exactly. Your annotations (text, drawings, highlights, signature) are added as new layers on top.
